Friday Fifties/Balloon release

Friday was a crazy day at Bowen... We had two Sock Hops and a Pink Balloon release. I invited Aunt Marilyn to come watch us release the balloons. As many of you know, she is just starting her chemo and my thoughts and prayers are with her always. I am so glad they have moved to College Station, and hope that soon, the girls and I can spend more time over with her. But, it was a short and sweet ceremony but I am glad that she got to come too!
Then my "special friends" were all in charge of the 50's day at school. Instead of doing Halloween costumes, everyone dresses in 50's clothes to signify the 50th day of school! It was fun, but I was exhausted by the end of the day!

Pumpkin Patch Take 2

Friday I had Grams and Reese take the girls to the Farm Patch to take some pictures with the pumpkins. Silly me, I didn't even know there was a petting zoo there too!

Fall Festival

All in all... we had a fun day! Both girls were exhausted by the time we got home!

Kaylah had fun too!
After the pumpkin patch and a nap, we headed to downtown Bryan to the Fall Festival. We got there late, but Kyndahl didn't mind... we got to ride the "choo choo train" and see the "animals".
She thought this frog was real at first and just loved it!
Watching the baby turtles...
Getting down on his level...

Petting the huge snake...
Riding the choo choo

At least Kaylah will smile for the camera!

Baltimore Zoo

Kyndahl and Kaylah had their first visit to the zoo. It was an absolutely beautiful day and fun was had by all. Funny enough, Kyndahl's favorite thing was the fish, turtle and alligator exhibit below!!

Saying "cheese"
Looking at the birds down by the water
The giraffe that we got to feed

Baby elephant
She LOVES rhinos!
It was a quick trip before we had to get back to load up and head back to Texas, but it was worth it.

More to come...

I still have a lot of pics to sort through and upload but we had a great time! We flew into Baltimore on Saturday and Sally picked us and ALL of our baggage up at the airport (including the horse!). We headed to JJ's and met up with everyone else. Funny enough we were the first ones to plan the trip but the last to show up! That night we just hung out at the house and ate queso and pico. Then Sunday we headed to the Ren Fest from 10:00 to almost 1:30 before the kids couldn't take anymore. Home to nap!! Kyndahl and Kaylah slept forever so the others headed to the park. Monday we were up to take pictures before we had to tell the Schedler's good-bye. We had planned on going to a pumpkin patch but the girls napped too well. Tuesday we didn't leave until late so we headed into Baltimore to the zoo (pics to come) before having to pack up and head back to Texas! Kyndahl didn't sleep at all on the plane ride home so once we got to the car (and found the keys... DAVID) she was exhausted! We drove back to College Station and put the girls in bed about midnight. It was a crazy busy and fun trip! So glad we all got to go!

Just the three of us!

I actually ended up in the middle!! LOL

We took a picture just like this when KayLeigh was about a month old... now she is 12 years and 5 months old... so 12 years later we did it again. I will have to scan in and upload the original "Moody totem pole" picture!

Family pics

It's always interesting to try and get 15 people to look the same way, at the same time regardless... then you add in two infants, two toddlers and a 4 year-old... Then it becomes next to impossible. But we tried and got some good shots! We also just used a remote so there wasn't even anyone behind the camera to try and get the kids to look and smile!

Just thought this was a cute one of them walking down

Maryland... FINALLY

On Sunday we all were up and out of the door by 9:30 to head to the Maryland Ren Fest. I really think Kyndahl had a great time. She got a lady bug on her arm (she still wouldn't let them put it on her face) and once she saw it, she wanted one of the "other arm"!

Then we rode an elephant!! She loved it! I was more shaky than she was... she wanted to even go again. Hey for $20 bucks you get to go in a circle, but when else will you get to ride an elephant!

After the elephant ride, we watched a jousting tournament. Kaylah was exhausted and scared every time the crowd yelled so JJ and I took the babies away from the craziness and let them sleep. But Kyndahl LOVED it... stood the whole time and clapped and yelled. Kaylah with Gma and Papa Chuck before family pics! Too cute
Nana had her hands full at breakfast... sit too close to Spencer and you will get messy but then again, letting Kyndahl sit in your lap to eat, isn't too clean either!

Saying our good-byes to Audrey and Spencer... Audey and Spener as Kyndahl says!! LOVE MY COUSINS!
