Back to school

Today was the first day back after spring break and you can tell the kids are starting to wind down for the year... they were crazy! We got 4 new students today... at a school our size, that is insane! We added two to our smallest class, it went from 12 to 14!! All in high school so they add to already fun English classes!! Only two withdrew over the break and they were in junior high!!! But all in all, not a bad day. I have a huge headache but I think it's more the weather than the kids... I think! LOL!! And I realized today that I have no more than 6 weeks until Peanut is here!!! That's if Dawson lets me go as long as I want to... I am thinking he wants the c-section the week before I do. I guess we will battle that out next week! 35 week appointment is April 7th! The count down has begun... I must look like I am miserable... I have had several people comment on that today, but really for the most part, I feel good!

Working on potty training....

I'm not going crazy trying to force Kyndahl to potty train... it's just kinda working. She loves to sit on the potty, with or without Mommy. She will ask for toilet paper and everything! This week was my spring break so we worked on it more than usual. Now I ask her if she wants to go in the morning when she gets up, most the time it is yes. Then before and after naps, I ask her and again the answer is usually yes. She is actually tee teeing 1-2 times a day in the potty!! Again, not really forcing the issue, but if she's ready, she's ready to at least start. It sure would be nice to be almost potty trained before we have another one in diapers!!!

HUGE announcement...

Kyndahl went tee tee in the potty!!! We got her a potty for Valentine's Day and have just been getting her used to it. She will sit on it when I am on the potty and we sing and read. Well today, she tee teed after nap!!! I know she probably did not know what she was doing, but we partied and celebrated with cookies anyway! Mommy was excited at least!!! So now, we are sleeping through the night (all 12-13 hours) plus two naps and going potty on the potty!! She really is getting to be such a big girl!!!

So much for a nice spring break...

It has rained or just been nasty everyday this week. We have actually had our work out class in the mall it's been so yucky... Not only can we not go to the pool, we cannot even go to the park. We tried the park on Tuesday but it was windy and then Kyndahl found some rain water in the tunnel and got soaked so we came home just in time for the down pour. But at least we have been getting out to see our friends at Baby Boot Camp, without that I would probably be going crazy!

Today we had a visit from Amy and Landon (I know, I forgot to take pictures!!) and that was fun. Both currently being only children makes sharing lots of fun. Kyndahl really wanted to love on him but then he touched her horsey and that was it! She of course wanted anything he had and would just take it away and put it where he wasn't! We all walked to Rosa's for lunch and had a great time! Hopefully they can come play again soon!

Grandma and Papa Chuck are supposed to visit tomorrow, so that should be lots of fun too!

33 week dr appt.

Monday we had our 33 week check up. I have gained about a pound a week and blood pressure is still great. Then we waited to an hour to see the dr. But at least that gave us time to get to talk to everyone else. Kristen, the sono tech, said we would eventually learn to juggle both kids, since she has twins she really knows! Vicki, my nurse prac, came to talk to David about concrete and as always has great stories to tell. David and her got to talk a lot last week when he had the hair removal lazer thing done and since she was covering for Dawson while he was on vacation, she had lots to say! Then Doss stopped by to say hello and can't believe we only have 7 weeks left of "round two"!! And Melissa, Doss' nurse, stopped to talk about her little one and how she should have thought about a second one before she had a toddler... Finally we saw Dawson an hour late and all is well. Glucose test was good so nothing new to report. We will set my c-section date when we go back in two weeks!! Every two weeks now, which means its really getting close!

Love her baby

Kyndahl has been really attached to her "baby" lately and is really fascinated by new babies that she sees.. She wants to hold and kiss them like she does her baby at home. It's also really cute to watch her point to my belly and kiss it and say "baby"!

Hitting the pool for a swim...

Sunday was nice and hot... well about 81 degrees so Kyndahl wanted to water the flowers and get soaking wet so David decided to get her pool out instead! He aired it up with the compressor and filled it with warm water from the house because the hose water is still so cold. She played and played and played. She would splash and then "wash" the water off the sides of the pool. Kyndahl got to wear her new swimsuit we got from Old Navy and looked adorable! Hopefully the weather will be nice for Spring Break and I can take her to the big pool...we'll see!

OTB Friday with Aunt Re and Uncle Ry

Every Friday we know we can find Aunt Re and Uncle Ry at On the Border and if we get home in time, we like to join them!! Sometimes Kyndahl is not so sure about Ry but then usually warms up and off they go! Kyndahl looked really cute in her $1.50 Once Upon a Child Giraffe tank and shorts... yes it was 80 plus degrees here... David even had to change into shorts before we could go!! Re is just finishing up her spring break but I am just starting... gotta love that Madison County Fair!!! Oh well... not having anyone else on spring break will give Kyndahl and I lots of us time!

Anyone recognize this outfit...

It's not the best picture but does anyone in the family remember this outfit? I'll give you a hint... it's almost 12 years old... Gymboree sure has changed their styles!!

St Paddy's Day

Today was a little crazy... Laney assigned all her classes a paper about the history of St Patrick's Day, and real Irish food. So lots cooked and brought all kinds of good food... we ate junk all day!

Then when I headed home, Daddy and Kyndahl needed to water the plants... and as we know, she loves to get wet while "helping" daddy.
But they looked really cute in their green!!

SAT testing...

I remember taking my SAT twice...once I was throwing up through the whole thing at my high school and then again at Midland College. I did so much better the second time! But I really don't remember it sucking quite so much! I had to transcribe a test today for a student here at school!! It is long and totally boring... plus who really knows all that stuff! I don't understand the new scoring because if you get what I got (which was good enough to get a plaque at the academic banquet) then you suck on this scale!!! Why are they always changing things and making them more complicated!

Just FYI...

I have only like 59 more days until my actual due date... but since Dawson is insisting on a c-section, I only have like 57 more days!!! That's less than 2 months!

Good times at Old Navy

Saturday David gave me a $75 off a $100 coupon to Old Navy. Apparently there is a scavenger hunt on-line that you can do to find these. So after an outing to Chick Fil A (a very packed place with kids on Saturday) we headed to Old Navy. We bought David a shirt and a hat, me a t-shirt (the only thing I can buy there right now) and Kyndahl several really cute things. Our total was $115 and we paid $30!!! Isn't that crazy! David could really care less about the actual clothing we bought, all the cared about was the challenge of actually finding the coupon!!
Afterwards, Kyndahl took her nap and I headed to Gymboree with my 20% off coupon and found some really cute outfits! I found Kyndahl and Peanut matching outfits if Peanut is a girl. And if Peanut is a boy, I found a really cute outfit that says "Little Peanut"!! Either way, Peanut will look adorable coming home from the hospital... and it is taken care of early so we don't have the same meltdown during labor that we had with Kyndahl... most of you know the crazy story.. the only time in my whole first pregnany that I went insane was the day I went into labor looking for outfits for the baby to come home in!
After nap, we headed to Outback to celebrate Nana's birthday... food was horrible and the menu has really slimmed down so very few items to choose from. We used to go for lots of occasions (that was the first place we went on a date) but we could care less to ever go again!

Watering the flowers with Daddy...

It started out just helping Daddy and getting a little splashed with water. Kyndahl helped water both of the bushes on the front of the house. Then she helped with both flower beds. But then the concrete got wet so she had to help "wash" it off and then proceeded to do a head stand in the water, so now her hair is wet. Then Daddy moved on to the tree in the front yard and Kyndahl must have been really thirsty because she started drinking out of the hose...over and over and over... at this point she it completly soaking wet... it took over two days for her clothes to dry out!

K's 15 month dr visit...

Kyndahl is getting to be such a big girl!!! She weighed in at 22.4 lbs (less than the 50th percentile), stretched to 30.5 inches (about th 75% percentile) and had to get two shots!!! Nurse Heather is usually really quick with the shots but Kyndahl kicked away after shot #1 and we had to really had to grab her and hold her down. It was not fun at all... she was really upset... and so was mommy! She wouldn't even take the sucker from Heather or say bye-bye! She was really mad for a while... but finally tasted the sucker and was much better all the way home! We go back in June for her 18 month, but NO SHOTS!!! : )

Playing at the park

Sunday morning Kyndahl slept late then mommy and daddy took her to a new grocery story with lots of organic food... too bad we were confused about where it was. Once we finally found out where we were supposed to be, we both realized that the time had changed and we really let K sleep late! We gathered what we really needed (Spinach and broccoli pancakes!!) and headed home to take a little late nap. Luckily she only took a relativity short nap so we basically got back on schedule, so daylight savings time did not effect her for the most part!! In the afternoon, K and I headed out for a short walk and a trip to the part before her 2nd nap. I just love this outfit!! Luckily we have Aunt Sally and cousin Audrey to pass down clothes... most of her clothes are hand-me-downs and you can't even tell!!! Without them, Kyndahl might actually have to wear an outfit more than once or twice!!LOL!!

Headed to NZ for a birthday party....

Saturday Kyndahl and I headed to NZ to a surprise party for Erica Jones. Kyndahl had a blast roaming around and playing with Reagan. She really wanted to see the horses and they were eating at the fence, so I walked out there with K and she was so excited until the horse turned to let K pet him... then she jumped and was so scared!! So we continued to want to see the horses but only at a distance! But she continued to wander the yard and pasture and "talk" about and point to everything... poor kid loves the outside and we live in the ghetto so she can't play outside as much at our house!!!
Erica was actually very surprised to see us all! Happy 50th B-day!! But after a quick bite to eat, K and I had to head home for bed! We've been having issues going to sleep at night so maybe being so worn out from running around we will have an easy night. Here's hoping!

Field Trip went way wrong...

The day after TAKS Laney and I took the Pre-AP 9th, 10th and 11th graders to the George Bush Library... the tour was nice but very fast. Then we headed to our "comedy poet presentation"... supposed to be for HS kids but we were surrounded by 4th graders!!! It was insane... he was reading poems about coodies and dinosaurs! Nice... we finally left during the question and answer session and headed to the fountain on University to meet David and Kyndahl for lunch. The kids went in every direction to eat as the adults went to Blue Baker for sandwiches. After lunch, we headed back to NZ a little late with the kids telling everyone how "wonderful" our speaker was!! NICE! Well at least we got to get away from the school for a while and have a good lunch!

TAKS testing and a massage!

Yesterday was the first TAKS test of the year... three more to go in April! The week was a little stressful trying to get it all set up but we made it through. I had to read the test to four 7th graders... they are always so much fun. We finished a little before lunch and had a little break before we actually had to be productive again. The afternoon I spent helping the counselor fill in mailing documents and seperate answer documents from test booklets. And then I got to leave early from school to go to Spa Medic to get a full body prenatal massage!!! It was wonderful... Kitty is great and I felt a million times better when I left. The only down side was that I only got to see Kyndahl for about an hour before she went to bed, but I guess it was worth it! I was really relaxed!! After putting K down, I cooked dinner and then browned all the extra meat since David thawed a 5 lb package of meat for a 1 lb dinner!! After putting up dishes and reloading the dishwasher, I took a shower and headed to bed... but K got up a lot earlier than usual (10:15pm) to eat... she usually eats about 3am but I went ahead and fed her and she slept until 6:30 this morning!!!

Melinda Came to B/CS

Melinda is my best friend from high school and randomly is dating a guy who is from Bryan (don't say College Station... his step-mom gets really upset!). One of his friends from BHS got married this past weekend so they made the 8 hr trip across Texas and we got to hang out!! Friday after school they came over to the house and her daughter, Katee, and Kyndahl got to hang out and play while we talked. That night we got Prissy to babysit so we could go to a bbq at Jason's parent's house. We got Kyndahl down and headed over there about 7:15, just in time to dinner! Jason's family is great... the whole gang was there; aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers, nieces... anyone you could think of!! We really had a great time... Melinda and I actually got to catch up more than we have since we graduated! After a late night, 12:30 (hey I'm pregnant and usually in bed no later than 10pm), we headed home and decided to meet up Saturday for lunch. Of course, we decided on Rosa's... it's a tradition regardless of what side of the state we are on! Lunch was great and so was the company! It was really great to meet Jason and to see Katee and Mel. Hopefully they will get to make another trip down this summer and get to meet Peanut!
