KayLeigh and Kaylah

Had a blast playing in the water in the front yard. Kyndahl was "cold"... really it was 98 out side!! But Kaylah loved it when KL would splash her.

Crazy week... we picked KayLeigh up from my dad on Sunday in Basdrop. Plus Melinda and Katee are going to be here all week. Hopefully we will have time to hang out with everyone! Monday after boot camp we headed to our usual Children's museum. All was great until Kaylah had a HUGE blow out... I used every wipe in the car and of course had no change of clothes in the car!!! Nice huh! Gotta love those white trash parents who let their kids go in public in just their diaper!!!

Splash pad

Friday after boot camp we invited friends to meet us at the splash pad by my school but it ended up just being us! But the girls had a blast anyway. Kaylah is so silly still bear crawling instead of walking everywhere!!

Children's museum...

Twice in two days... fun times! First trip by ourselves then the next day with the Michaelsons!! Kaylee and Kyndahl had a great time making their spiderwebs!

Papa's bday and Father's Day

Sunday we had a great day for Papa's birthday and for Father's day. It was a nice relaxing Sunday at Grams' house.

Texas Reds

Kyndahl loves the Texas Red's fest. Not only does she get to pet lots of animals, she gets to fish, jump and ride the train!!! Its hot so we cool off with a sno cone and then eat up a yummy funnel cake!! We had a good time hanging out with the Carr's.

Waco Zoo with Reese

THe Friday after we got home, Reese went with us to the Waco Zoo. We are now members so we can go to most other zoos in the USA. It was so much fun. The orangutan watched us and walked right up to the glass, put his foot up on the glass and then placed his hands and face against the glass!!! It was crazy!! Then the elephant was spraying himself with water and the girls LOVED it!! We really did have a great time and the girls were tired but did really well. Both were asleep before we really got on the road!

On the way home...

from leaving Midland we stopped at the Abilene Zoo and in Hamilton to see Will, Shelley and the girls. It was a great trip!! The girls did AWESOME!

we're back...

lots of pics and videos to go through.. will post a few at a time... once I get unloaded and unpacked... then I will begin, but for now, just know it was a fun and LONG trip. We got to see lots of friends and family and now we are home to recover!!

Leaving and heading home..

Sunday morning, David and I got up EARLY and met his friend Rick and his family at Cracker Barrell (David's Fav... NOT) for breakfast. It was nice to get to catch up with them, just wish it could have been later so the girls could have gone!
After we ate, we headed back out to Mel's to load up and get on the road. It was a fun trip.... just long with the girls in the car so much, but they did really well!

Baseball and Cigars

That night after we put the girls to bed, we headed to a Rockhounds baseball game. The wind was blowing 35 plus miles an hour so we left EARLY.


After being blown away at the game, we took Katee home and headed back in to town. We tried to go to "Cigar Frogs" but it was TOO packed.Then we headed to "Hemingways", another cigar bar... crazy there are two in Midland and none in College Station!! It was a nice place and very relaxed... then we met up with Kristy, Crystal, Kristal and Gina at Woofers and Tweeters. It was a fun end to a good weekend!!

School tour

While Kyndahl was still asleep, Kaylah, David and I met up with some of my classmates at the high school. We walked through and looked at what HADN"T changed since we were there 13 years ago. These were the lovely composites hanging on the wall in the hallway!!



We headed back to pick up Kyndahl then to Granny Lois' house to see the whole family! There were about 20 of us packed in to catch up. It was great to see everyone... brings back memories... many good ones!!!

Opportunity Park

Saturday morning while Daddy worked and Melinda and Jason hung out at home, I took the girls into town to play at MARC park with Bob and his boys. Bob, Ty and Hunter played with us for an hour or so. Ty didn't want to have much to do with me but all in all, the kids had fun. Kyndahl couldn't sit still long enough to pose for any pictures... she couldn't decide what to do... from one side to the other and then back again!

Abuelo's and Betty's Place

We picked up the babysitter and as it started to storm, we headed into Midland for dinner at Abuelo's. It started hailing so we spent 10 mins under an overpass with lots of other concerned drivers!! Once the storm slowed up some, we headed onto dinner. The food was not so great but the drinks were good! After about an hour of sitting and talking, we headed to Betty's place. Its a karaoke bar in downtown... tiny and SMOKEY!! But we had a good time.
