Baby Boot Camp Mommy Celebration

Since there are so many of us who have just had or are about to have new little ones, Kathy and Lora wanted to get us all together to celebrate. We headed to Abuelos for dinner and had a great time. David ended up having to come get Kyndahl, even with a late nap, she was too tired! But we still had a great time. After dinner, some of us decided we needed dessert from It's a Grind! Kathy and Tyson, Anne and Eli, Lora and I headed over and had a great time sitting, eating and talking. It was great to get to really talk, we are usually so rushed after workout that it makes just talking hard! I had a great time... we really need to do it more often

36 week dr visit

Today we had a usually boring dr visit. My blood pressure was great: 124/78 and I gained 2 lbs!!! The nurse that took me back had me undress from the waist down but when Dr Dawson and the medical resident came in, he said that they must not know I am having a c-section because he won't check me. The resident measured my stomach (33-34 weeks) and helped me sit up. "Trish" apparently did not put me on his surgery list so I had to tell him when my c-section was scheduled. That was it! All Dawson asked was if the baby was ok! When we checked out we confirmed my next three appts... but for the third time they did not have one of them in the books... at least this time we checked beforehand and it wasn't a surprise when we showed up!! Things have really been crazy up there this time around?!??! So the count down begins... three weeks until Peanut's arrival!!

Easter...

We didn't do much but rest in the morning. Kyndahl got her Easter baskets from mommy and daddy, nana, and grandpa and Jill. She was more interested in the hangers than to what else there was. Then we headed to Grams and Papa B's house to have a late lunch and have family time. Marc and Melissa and Nana and Papa were there too! Kyndahl put on a show and ran up and down the trailer again today! She has had a long weekend, as have I, so we came home about 5:30 and got her fed and into bed early! Hopefully we will have a better night than the last two! Happy Easter to all!

Easter egg hunt...

There were kids and parents, eggs and food everywhere! In total there were 11 kids and 23 adults (parents, friends, grandparents). I think a blast was had by all! We missed some of our friends (Aubrey, Will, Kaylee and Kara) but hopefully we will see them all soon! Initially we kept everyone inside while the daddies hid the eggs and when everyone arrived, we set them loose! With age ranges from 15 months to 8 years old, it was crazy!! Kids were running everywhere! Richard Anthony found the special egg for a prize! But no one seemed unhappy with what they had! Confetti eggs were a HIT! After the egg hunt, there were hamburgers and hot dogs before we decorated cupcakes for everyone! Apparently all I really needed to decorate was the trailer because kept many of them occupied for most of the time after the hunt! I really hope that everyone enjoyed themselves as much as Kyndahl and I did. Maybe we should make this a tradition!! The kids really seemed to have fun and hopefully slept well, even with all the extra sugar!

Sprinkle for Peanut

Friday (Good Friday), Re and De threw me a "sprinkle" for Peanut. There were LOTS of chocolate covered strawberries to be had, if you could get to them before me! Since there were lots of kids, we opened presents outside! They played in the bubbles and with the huge balls while all the mommies sat and talked. I got tons of diapers (awesome!!) and more fun stuff for the new little one. It was nice to get to sit and relax and actually talk to everyone without having to worry about when the bell rings or whatever else is usually going on at school! I really enjoyed myself and it was great to get to see everyone. Mom and Grandma were even here to help celebrate. Miss Holly and Prissy even brought Kyndahl a fun gift just for her so she would not feel left out. Keeli added that she would be bringing Miss K and "special big sister" gift because they are so unappreciated sometimes!

Richard Anthony's 2nd Bday

Today we had Richard Anthony's 2nd birthday party at the Castlegate park. There was a clown there making balloon animals and flowers. Kyndahl was not interested in those balloons, she wanted the ones tied to the railings as decorations... she really did not understand that the "ladybug" she was holding was a balloon!! Finally Rick and Sheppard gave her regular ballons and she was more than happy. She played on the slide and in the "rocks" and had a great time. Baby Mary was there and Kyndahl kept trying to get someone to let her hold the 'baby'... she is obsessed! But all in all, I think they all had a blast.

Jump Jump

Instead of taking 4 kids under 3 out to dinner, we decided to meet at Craig and Ashley's for CJ's BBQ. The kids had a blast playing in the backyard and in the jump-a-round ball blow up thingy.. and yes that is the technical name, I am sure of it! They flew kites, played on the swing, threw the huge balls, and even road a few "bikes". Kyndahl would love it if we had a yard that big!!! It was great to see Kim and Aaron and to actually get to hang out with Craig and Ashley. It seems that we all get so busy that we don't have time to just hang out and talk... and that's with us only having one kid!!

Crazy Saturday!

Today we had a packed schedule and Kyndahl held out for a long ride. First I had an ADPi house corp meeting that lasted 3 plus hours, David had to work, so Milissa had K. Then I rushed home to get Kyndahl fed, dressed and in the car so we could head to NZ for Elice's wedding shower. It was just in time for K's nap so I took everything out there hoping she would nap there... no such luck. She did a great job entertaining everyone though and even got Holly to take her on the slide. Luckily she was really good even though she was really tired but we still had dinner with the Valka's and Starling's... will she make it?? We left NZ about 4pm and headed home. Kyndahl thought about nodding off a few times but kept waking back up. She got really fussy right before we got home, she had to have a nap. So I did the unthinkable and put her down for a nap about 4:20... she slept until about 5:15 and we got dressed and headed to Craig and Ashley's!

Back to school

Today was the first day back after spring break and you can tell the kids are starting to wind down for the year... they were crazy! We got 4 new students today... at a school our size, that is insane! We added two to our smallest class, it went from 12 to 14!! All in high school so they add to already fun English classes!! Only two withdrew over the break and they were in junior high!!! But all in all, not a bad day. I have a huge headache but I think it's more the weather than the kids... I think! LOL!! And I realized today that I have no more than 6 weeks until Peanut is here!!! That's if Dawson lets me go as long as I want to... I am thinking he wants the c-section the week before I do. I guess we will battle that out next week! 35 week appointment is April 7th! The count down has begun... I must look like I am miserable... I have had several people comment on that today, but really for the most part, I feel good!

Working on potty training....

I'm not going crazy trying to force Kyndahl to potty train... it's just kinda working. She loves to sit on the potty, with or without Mommy. She will ask for toilet paper and everything! This week was my spring break so we worked on it more than usual. Now I ask her if she wants to go in the morning when she gets up, most the time it is yes. Then before and after naps, I ask her and again the answer is usually yes. She is actually tee teeing 1-2 times a day in the potty!! Again, not really forcing the issue, but if she's ready, she's ready to at least start. It sure would be nice to be almost potty trained before we have another one in diapers!!!

HUGE announcement...

Kyndahl went tee tee in the potty!!! We got her a potty for Valentine's Day and have just been getting her used to it. She will sit on it when I am on the potty and we sing and read. Well today, she tee teed after nap!!! I know she probably did not know what she was doing, but we partied and celebrated with cookies anyway! Mommy was excited at least!!! So now, we are sleeping through the night (all 12-13 hours) plus two naps and going potty on the potty!! She really is getting to be such a big girl!!!

So much for a nice spring break...

It has rained or just been nasty everyday this week. We have actually had our work out class in the mall it's been so yucky... Not only can we not go to the pool, we cannot even go to the park. We tried the park on Tuesday but it was windy and then Kyndahl found some rain water in the tunnel and got soaked so we came home just in time for the down pour. But at least we have been getting out to see our friends at Baby Boot Camp, without that I would probably be going crazy!

Today we had a visit from Amy and Landon (I know, I forgot to take pictures!!) and that was fun. Both currently being only children makes sharing lots of fun. Kyndahl really wanted to love on him but then he touched her horsey and that was it! She of course wanted anything he had and would just take it away and put it where he wasn't! We all walked to Rosa's for lunch and had a great time! Hopefully they can come play again soon!

Grandma and Papa Chuck are supposed to visit tomorrow, so that should be lots of fun too!

33 week dr appt.

Monday we had our 33 week check up. I have gained about a pound a week and blood pressure is still great. Then we waited to an hour to see the dr. But at least that gave us time to get to talk to everyone else. Kristen, the sono tech, said we would eventually learn to juggle both kids, since she has twins she really knows! Vicki, my nurse prac, came to talk to David about concrete and as always has great stories to tell. David and her got to talk a lot last week when he had the hair removal lazer thing done and since she was covering for Dawson while he was on vacation, she had lots to say! Then Doss stopped by to say hello and can't believe we only have 7 weeks left of "round two"!! And Melissa, Doss' nurse, stopped to talk about her little one and how she should have thought about a second one before she had a toddler... Finally we saw Dawson an hour late and all is well. Glucose test was good so nothing new to report. We will set my c-section date when we go back in two weeks!! Every two weeks now, which means its really getting close!

Love her baby

Kyndahl has been really attached to her "baby" lately and is really fascinated by new babies that she sees.. She wants to hold and kiss them like she does her baby at home. It's also really cute to watch her point to my belly and kiss it and say "baby"!

Hitting the pool for a swim...

Sunday was nice and hot... well about 81 degrees so Kyndahl wanted to water the flowers and get soaking wet so David decided to get her pool out instead! He aired it up with the compressor and filled it with warm water from the house because the hose water is still so cold. She played and played and played. She would splash and then "wash" the water off the sides of the pool. Kyndahl got to wear her new swimsuit we got from Old Navy and looked adorable! Hopefully the weather will be nice for Spring Break and I can take her to the big pool...we'll see!

OTB Friday with Aunt Re and Uncle Ry

Every Friday we know we can find Aunt Re and Uncle Ry at On the Border and if we get home in time, we like to join them!! Sometimes Kyndahl is not so sure about Ry but then usually warms up and off they go! Kyndahl looked really cute in her $1.50 Once Upon a Child Giraffe tank and shorts... yes it was 80 plus degrees here... David even had to change into shorts before we could go!! Re is just finishing up her spring break but I am just starting... gotta love that Madison County Fair!!! Oh well... not having anyone else on spring break will give Kyndahl and I lots of us time!

Anyone recognize this outfit...

It's not the best picture but does anyone in the family remember this outfit? I'll give you a hint... it's almost 12 years old... Gymboree sure has changed their styles!!

St Paddy's Day

Today was a little crazy... Laney assigned all her classes a paper about the history of St Patrick's Day, and real Irish food. So lots cooked and brought all kinds of good food... we ate junk all day!

Then when I headed home, Daddy and Kyndahl needed to water the plants... and as we know, she loves to get wet while "helping" daddy.
But they looked really cute in their green!!

SAT testing...

I remember taking my SAT twice...once I was throwing up through the whole thing at my high school and then again at Midland College. I did so much better the second time! But I really don't remember it sucking quite so much! I had to transcribe a test today for a student here at school!! It is long and totally boring... plus who really knows all that stuff! I don't understand the new scoring because if you get what I got (which was good enough to get a plaque at the academic banquet) then you suck on this scale!!! Why are they always changing things and making them more complicated!

Sunday, March 15, 2009

Just FYI...

I have only like 59 more days until my actual due date... but since Dawson is insisting on a c-section, I only have like 57 more days!!! That's less than 2 months!

Good times at Old Navy

Saturday David gave me a $75 off a $100 coupon to Old Navy. Apparently there is a scavenger hunt on-line that you can do to find these. So after an outing to Chick Fil A (a very packed place with kids on Saturday) we headed to Old Navy. We bought David a shirt and a hat, me a t-shirt (the only thing I can buy there right now) and Kyndahl several really cute things. Our total was $115 and we paid $30!!! Isn't that crazy! David could really care less about the actual clothing we bought, all the cared about was the challenge of actually finding the coupon!!
Afterwards, Kyndahl took her nap and I headed to Gymboree with my 20% off coupon and found some really cute outfits! I found Kyndahl and Peanut matching outfits if Peanut is a girl. And if Peanut is a boy, I found a really cute outfit that says "Little Peanut"!! Either way, Peanut will look adorable coming home from the hospital... and it is taken care of early so we don't have the same meltdown during labor that we had with Kyndahl... most of you know the crazy story.. the only time in my whole first pregnany that I went insane was the day I went into labor looking for outfits for the baby to come home in!
After nap, we headed to Outback to celebrate Nana's birthday... food was horrible and the menu has really slimmed down so very few items to choose from. We used to go for lots of occasions (that was the first place we went on a date) but we could care less to ever go again!

Watering the flowers with Daddy...

It started out just helping Daddy and getting a little splashed with water. Kyndahl helped water both of the bushes on the front of the house. Then she helped with both flower beds. But then the concrete got wet so she had to help "wash" it off and then proceeded to do a head stand in the water, so now her hair is wet. Then Daddy moved on to the tree in the front yard and Kyndahl must have been really thirsty because she started drinking out of the hose...over and over and over... at this point she it completly soaking wet... it took over two days for her clothes to dry out!

K's 15 month dr visit...

Kyndahl is getting to be such a big girl!!! She weighed in at 22.4 lbs (less than the 50th percentile), stretched to 30.5 inches (about th 75% percentile) and had to get two shots!!! Nurse Heather is usually really quick with the shots but Kyndahl kicked away after shot #1 and we had to really had to grab her and hold her down. It was not fun at all... she was really upset... and so was mommy! She wouldn't even take the sucker from Heather or say bye-bye! She was really mad for a while... but finally tasted the sucker and was much better all the way home! We go back in June for her 18 month, but NO SHOTS!!! : )

Playing at the park

Sunday morning Kyndahl slept late then mommy and daddy took her to a new grocery story with lots of organic food... too bad we were confused about where it was. Once we finally found out where we were supposed to be, we both realized that the time had changed and we really let K sleep late! We gathered what we really needed (Spinach and broccoli pancakes!!) and headed home to take a little late nap. Luckily she only took a relativity short nap so we basically got back on schedule, so daylight savings time did not effect her for the most part!! In the afternoon, K and I headed out for a short walk and a trip to the part before her 2nd nap. I just love this outfit!! Luckily we have Aunt Sally and cousin Audrey to pass down clothes... most of her clothes are hand-me-downs and you can't even tell!!! Without them, Kyndahl might actually have to wear an outfit more than once or twice!!LOL!!

Headed to NZ for a birthday party....

Saturday Kyndahl and I headed to NZ to a surprise party for Erica Jones. Kyndahl had a blast roaming around and playing with Reagan. She really wanted to see the horses and they were eating at the fence, so I walked out there with K and she was so excited until the horse turned to let K pet him... then she jumped and was so scared!! So we continued to want to see the horses but only at a distance! But she continued to wander the yard and pasture and "talk" about and point to everything... poor kid loves the outside and we live in the ghetto so she can't play outside as much at our house!!!
Erica was actually very surprised to see us all! Happy 50th B-day!! But after a quick bite to eat, K and I had to head home for bed! We've been having issues going to sleep at night so maybe being so worn out from running around we will have an easy night. Here's hoping!

Field Trip went way wrong...

The day after TAKS Laney and I took the Pre-AP 9th, 10th and 11th graders to the George Bush Library... the tour was nice but very fast. Then we headed to our "comedy poet presentation"... supposed to be for HS kids but we were surrounded by 4th graders!!! It was insane... he was reading poems about coodies and dinosaurs! Nice... we finally left during the question and answer session and headed to the fountain on University to meet David and Kyndahl for lunch. The kids went in every direction to eat as the adults went to Blue Baker for sandwiches. After lunch, we headed back to NZ a little late with the kids telling everyone how "wonderful" our speaker was!! NICE! Well at least we got to get away from the school for a while and have a good lunch!

TAKS testing and a massage!

Yesterday was the first TAKS test of the year... three more to go in April! The week was a little stressful trying to get it all set up but we made it through. I had to read the test to four 7th graders... they are always so much fun. We finished a little before lunch and had a little break before we actually had to be productive again. The afternoon I spent helping the counselor fill in mailing documents and seperate answer documents from test booklets. And then I got to leave early from school to go to Spa Medic to get a full body prenatal massage!!! It was wonderful... Kitty is great and I felt a million times better when I left. The only down side was that I only got to see Kyndahl for about an hour before she went to bed, but I guess it was worth it! I was really relaxed!! After putting K down, I cooked dinner and then browned all the extra meat since David thawed a 5 lb package of meat for a 1 lb dinner!! After putting up dishes and reloading the dishwasher, I took a shower and headed to bed... but K got up a lot earlier than usual (10:15pm) to eat... she usually eats about 3am but I went ahead and fed her and she slept until 6:30 this morning!!!

Melinda Came to B/CS

Melinda is my best friend from high school and randomly is dating a guy who is from Bryan (don't say College Station... his step-mom gets really upset!). One of his friends from BHS got married this past weekend so they made the 8 hr trip across Texas and we got to hang out!! Friday after school they came over to the house and her daughter, Katee, and Kyndahl got to hang out and play while we talked. That night we got Prissy to babysit so we could go to a bbq at Jason's parent's house. We got Kyndahl down and headed over there about 7:15, just in time to dinner! Jason's family is great... the whole gang was there; aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers, nieces... anyone you could think of!! We really had a great time... Melinda and I actually got to catch up more than we have since we graduated! After a late night, 12:30 (hey I'm pregnant and usually in bed no later than 10pm), we headed home and decided to meet up Saturday for lunch. Of course, we decided on Rosa's... it's a tradition regardless of what side of the state we are on! Lunch was great and so was the company! It was really great to meet Jason and to see Katee and Mel. Hopefully they will get to make another trip down this summer and get to meet Peanut!

It's almost Friday...

I have a headache this afternoon for some reason... I've done pretty well lately without getting any. But who knows why I decided to get one today... the only thing that has really been bothering me is my vericous veins. I went Tuesday night to Wal-mart, Walgreens and Motherhood maternity to find compression hose. I finally got some at Motherhood and they are really sexy... let me tell you!! I really hate hose but I guess if it helps, it helps. I only wear them at night so hopefully they will make them hurt less and not look so horrible!

Tomorrow is finally Friday and Melinda (best friend from high school) and her daughter will be in College Station. I got a babysitter for tomorrow night so David and I can go to a BBQ with her and her boyfriend. It will be great to see her. I cannot even remember the last time I saw them... it was the last time I was in Midland, probably like 4 years ago!! Hopefully this weekend will be a more relaxing weekend!! I am tired and need to relax! I have a massage next week so that will be even better (since it is the day of the reading TAKS test).

29 week visit

Weight and Blood pressure were great (120/75). Dr Dawson said my weight gain had been great, only 17 lbs total so far. Guess that sounds ok... He said I was measuring 27-28 weeks and that is great and all but I am 29 weeks.. he's a little confused. He also asked how our three kids were.... does he know who he is dealing with??? Not real sure what is going on with him.. This is the same person who asked us the first day he met us, since we had two kids if we wanted him to tie my tubes after my c-section!!! And when we asked him his suggestions on my vericous veins, his response was... well I guese we could just cut off that leg... Even though he is very competent, he has a horrible bed side manner!!!!! But we left and got to see Dr Doss and Vicky Childs (my favorite two drs that cannot deliver anymore), so that is always encouraging. I go back in four weeks and that will be my last monthly visit and then we will be going every two weeks. After we left the office, I scheduled my prenatal massage for next week... GOOD TIMES!!

Monday, February 23, 2009

Almost 29 weeks...

Peanut is a moving and shaking baby... tomorrow we have our regular OB update, so will have more to update then! But it is still kicking Kyndahl constantly and hates it when I lay on my left side!!! My vericous veins are getting much worse....so we'll see what the dr says since he was not concerned at all last time!

Long weekend....

This is going to be a long and random blog but.... Friday was a lazy day... after school we just hung out at home but Kyndahl is still not feeling great. She threw up again when I put her down, in her crib so we had to change the sheets, her clothes, bumper pads and all... she finally got to go back down about an hour later... yucky! Daddy was up with her from 4:30-6:00am so getting up Saturday morning to go to the store was not his idea of fun! But we made our weekly trip to Shipley's and Kroger. Kyndahl loves her special milk she gets on the weekend! Back to the house for her to nap and us to work around the house. We had dinner Saturday night with De, Chris, Maddy and Peyton for a belated birthday dinner at OTB. The kids are so funny together as they see each other and react to each other! Kyndahl still has the cough, runny nose and sneezing so we made her a dr appt for Sunday at 2pm. Sunday morning we just hung out since Kyndahl coughed all night and did not sleep well. Her morning nap was not great but we headed to Aunt Re and Uncle Ry's to see them after lunch. Kyndahl has decided she really hates big dogs... I'm not sure if she is scared of them or what, but she cried real tears anytime they would come near her! At 2pm we headed to the dr... she weighs 22 lbs exactly! Not a very big kid but happy! She just has a icky cold so not much we can do but hope it clears up soon. Hopefully not many more days of it but we'll see. He just said to make sure if anything gets worse we bring her back so it doesn't turn into anything worse.
The actual funniest part of the weekend was Sunday Daddy was working on the smoke alarms when we put K down for her 2nd nap... he set all three in the house off (one is two feet from her bed) and she never even moved. She grabbed her Raffe and Nuka and went to sleep while they continued to make a horrible loud sound! She takes after her daddy for sure... after nap, we headed to the park so daddy could continue working and she had a blast climbing stairs, sliding and crawling through the tunnel all by herself! She is getting to be such a big kid!

30th Birthday!

Since yesterday was my 30th birthday, it was a busy day. Dad was the first one to call me?!?!? Then Mom called while Sally was beeping in. Audrey sand me happy birthday and I talked to G-ma and Papa Chuck on the way to school The morning actually started with K not feeling great and waking up all snotty but once I got to school things were looking up. The 1st period English class that I help out with (all Juniors) decorated the classroom, gave me a cute card that sings, made brownies and breakfast tacos... all in all the "party" was great! Then Mom sent me flowers that I got at lunch and Laney bought me a cookie cake that we shared with everyone in the office during lunch. All in all school made for a good birthday! Megan and I headed home at 3:30 and K was still asleep when I got home which gave me time to clean up some around the house. David got home and we all three got dressed for dinner... K looked so adorable in her outfit! We met everyone at Carino's for dinner at 5:30. Ashley, Craig, Maddie, Cindy, Charlie, Grams, Papa B, Megan, Nana and Papa all were there. Marc and Melissa stopped by for a minute to see us but did not stay to eat. David made party hats for Kyndahl, Maddie and I and bought a cookie cake too! After dinner and cake we headed home to finally get our silly kid to bed, who was so tired that EVERYTHING was SO FUNNY! But after about an hour, she finally laid down and got some rest... slept through the night! Re and Ry came over about 8:15 after Re's class and we hung out with them. So all in all, it was a good day... busy and crazy but good!

Long Night with Kyndahl

Last night was crazy... she has been sneezing and yucky since late Monday. Yesterday the runny nose turned to thick green yuckiness... she could not even breath to eat! So she ate and drank very little all day. Finally got her to bed about 6:10 and she would wake up every 20-30 minutes and cry... I would go in and calm her down and get her back asleep... at 8:45 I decided since I had showered and was ready for bed that I would rock her for a while and all was well until about 9:45 she starting coughing and threw up all over me. Daddy had to help us change clothes and we tried to get some liquid into her but all she wanted was milk and I was reluctant to give her some since she had a slight fever... she was up and down again for most of the night. Daddy and I took turns holding her and calming her until she really went to sleep about 2:30. At 3:15 she woke again but Mommy let her get herself back to sleep. This morning she still did not feel well but she did not have a fever so we'll see how she is tonight!!! Hopefully better!

Nana came to see us!

Saturday morning we got up and ran some errands before naptime. After Kyndahl's afternoon nap, Nana showed up to see us! She came in for the President's Day holiday and my birthday week. Saturday night was Valentine's so we met Marc, Melissa, Grams and Papa B at Square One for dinner. They did not open until 5pm so we hung out on the patio and Kyndahl danced and twirled in her skirt for everyone. Dinner was good but took FOREVER... and you know how I am about not great service when we go out to eat!!! But we headed home and got K down for the night and hung out with Mom. Sunday we got up for breakfast at IHOP and Kyndahl loves pancakes!!! We spent the day shopping and playing... we stopped by the park for a little while so Nana could watch Kyndahl slide. Monday I stayed home "sick" from work. Mom and I took Kyndahl to boot camp and then home for a nap. Lunch was supposed to be Freebirds but Claytie called and was in town so we had Blue Baker with him. Kyndahl was scared of him at first and cried but finally got used to him (once he took his hat off) and starting flirting with him!!! It was really cute!! We had a great day... Nana left around 6:30 to drive to Uncle Jeff's and Kyndahl went down while the cleaning lady finished the house. All in all, it was a good weekend...

First valentine's party

Yesterday Kyndahl had her first Valentine's party. Manda and Aubrey, from our baby boot camp class, invited about 15 little ones and thier mommies to join them for cookie decorating and a Valentine exchange. Fun was had by all!! Kyndahl finally warmed up to everything and wanted to play in the dirt (and yes got her hands dirty!!) and push the shopping cart, even if it meant taking it away from anyone who had it! She also loved the Step 2 slide!! She tried apple juice and was none too impressed! But she did love her cookie she decorated and loved to dump out the sprinkles even more... we are still working on the sharing concept since she likes to take everything away from others and keep it for herself!! We both really had a good time and I think when she is a little older she will play with other kids more and mommy less!! I will hopefully upload some pics later tonight!!

Trip to Houston...

Kyndahl's first trip out of town in her big girl carseat! Saturday David and I loaded up everything to head to Babies R Us and Once Upon a Child in Houston. The plan was to be in the car in time for the morning nap and hopefully K would sleep most of the way...well so much for hoping! She played with Daddy and Nuka and Raffe for most of the way and got a little antsy as we approached Houston, so no morning nap! Into Babies R Us to exchange bottles and look at her a potty seat... two hours later with lots of stuff in tow (including a chair we bought for daddy... i mean Peanut) we haeded out to get lunch. We stopped at McDonalds against Mommy's better judegement but we ate and went to find Once Upon a Child. Kyndahl fell asleep shortly after getting back in the car, so I ran into OUC and found very few items we needed. Really we are looking for a good used changing table but no such luck! So I headed back to the car and we started our journey home... Kyndahl and Daddy slept until north of Navasota so she did ok! That evening we stayed at home and Re and Ry came over for dinner and games... fun was had by all! Kyndahl even showed off her dancing skills for a little while before bed!! She really is funny when she dances... if music is on, she will stop in the middle of playing, dance a second and then go back to playing!! Silly kid!

Kyndahl

Kyndahl is getting to be such a big girl!! She never crawls anymore and is fast on her feet! She loves to sit in the driver's seat of Daddy's truck and "drive"! She will make a bee line for his truck if you let her down in the front yard! Spike and Gizzy are still her best friends, even though they do not always agree. At night she will get her Nuka and Raffe or Zebe and follow me around the house asking to go to bed. She chased me with "Good Night Moon" the other night! Poor kids is exhausted by the time mommy gets home! She is actually sleeping through the night most nights... but Mommy is still getting up thanks to Peanut! LOL!
Its not fun getting home so late. I get home usually by 4:30 but our time together is mainly dinner, bath and bedtime routine with little playtime!! But that is the life of a scheduled child who is VERY HAPPY!!!
She has really started to grow and move more... I guess that is why she eats better and sleeps so much right now... growth spurts as well as starting to RUN will really wear you out... hence the reason she is so tired by bedtime! Hopefully I will upload more pics soon!

Peanut update...

We went to the dr Jan 27th for our latest OB update... We had a sonogram first with Kristen and Peanut tried not to cooperate again but finally got in the right position for a good heart picture! All is well.... I actually started gaining some actual weight : ( but I guess that is all expected!! BP was great as usual! Next appt is the last week in Feb and I have to do the glucose test!! FUN! For now, Peanut kicks constantly and you are starting to be able to SEE it move, not just feel it!

David's 31st Birthday

We did something a little different this year for David's bday... he decided he wanted a very low key night. So we ordered On the Border fajitas, Rosa's chips and queso and I made cupcakes and hung out at his parent's house and played games. Ry, Re, Craig, Ashley, Cheryl, Marc, Melissa and Christopher were all there and we played Taboo and LCR! We had a lot of fun and it was really laid back! So a good night for a 31st birthday! Fun was had by all!

Doing much better...

Kyndahl is walking so much better! She toddles along everywhere... it's so cute to see her trun corners or turn around as she figures out her balance! She is getting much faster as well! She has been a little stuffy and yucky the last week but think it is getting better. We had a long night last night, Kyndahl woke up at 9:45 screaming and crying... then about 20 minutes later threwup all over the place several times. Then we were up until 11:00 just playing and hanging out. Finally got her to go back down and she slept until 9am?!?! David called to tell me her rug for her room is in so we will put it in after our dr appt today!

Getting better at walking...

Kyndahl is really starting to get a hang of walking... she actually tries to run and gets all tripped up but when she slows down and just walks, she does really well! She still does not understand why the wood floor in her room makes her fall more than the carpet does. But she still knows if she wants to go somewhere fast, then crawling is the answer... and man is she fast!!!

She is really funny in her crib, since there is so much room, she plays a lot! She likes to stand on her feet with her head down and look between her legs like she is about to hike a football and laugh (in crib or out). But she now says bye bye to "nuka" and "raffe" after nap and in the mornings as she puts them back in bed when I pick her up... such a big girl!

Kyndahl's new favorite sign is "please" and she learned it fast and uses it constantly!!

I am 24 weeks today! Crazy how time flies! Next OB appt is Tuesday the 27th at 3:30 for another sonogram since Peanut was not cooperating with Kristen!! There are about to be a lot of Boot Camp babies making their appearance soon, so maybe Kyndahl will get some baby experience before Peanut arrives!

Starting to Walk

Kyndahl is well on her way to walking. She has started standing up by herself and taking 4-5 steps without prompting. But now she is going from couch to couch and will stand up and walk to where she wants to go without a second thought. She usually only gets about 10 steps or less before she falls and crawls the rest of the way but she is starting to really get the hang of it... sometimes she walks way to fast and just crashes but she thinks it's really funny!!

Transition to Nursery

Kyndahl spent for first night in her big girl nursery! David really wanted her to spend at least one year in our room and she made it 13 months exactly! She did really well considering and only got up twice! Only once more that usual so that was good. Mom did not sleep great and it was acually kinda sad but bittersweet! We still have a few things to hang on the wall but overall the room looks great! Now I just have to reclaim my own room and put it back together for the few months we are babyless in our bedroom! Kyndahl loves playing in her room so now sleeping should be easy!

Officially no longer a coach...

So I turned in my coaching resignation back in November but was asked yesterday to clean out my coaching office... so I am officially no longer a coach at North Zulch. Sucks and hurts but it is a better decision for me personally and especially for my family! I will get to spend a whole extra month in the summer at home as well as LOTS more time in the fall... but it is still hard. I love coaching, plus I am handing over an almost guaranteed district championship! But my family is worth it! Maybe in time when the kids are older I can go back, but for now being home with the kids and David is the most important thing!

Daddy got to feel peanut move...

Sunday I was laying on the couch and Peanut was having a party so Daddy finally got to feel him (or her) move! So we have a dancing and moving Peanut and a crazy, "walking", piggy back loving Kyndahl! Life if fun and never boring at our house!

Standing on walking on her own!

Kyndahl stood up by herself for the first time Christmas morning with her drum in her arms... before we could hold her and let go and she could stand there for a few seconds but she actually went from sitting to standing, by herself! This past Saturday (Jan 3rd) she took three steps from me to daddy and three steps back! So sooner than later, she is just going to take off!

But for now her favorite thing to do is stand behind me when I am sitting on the floor, laugh and then try to climb on my back for a piggy back ride! She thinks that is hilarious!
